There was a particularly stressful Saturday shift not so long ago, where I tuned out of work from about midday and stayed that way until it was time to go home. Sometimes, it’s just what happens when you’re dealing with people in close quarters a lot of the time. That is not to say that I tuned out and put anyone in danger, I followed my daily duties, but did so at the basic level. I answered the phone, the door, took requests and granted what I could, I just didn’t stress or trying to correct people because that’s what was causing me to feel like my day was the worst.
So I finished work, got in my car, drove to my boyfriends, spent a few hours with him and then went home to soak in my bath. I skipped buying bath bombs for a number of years, and in that time, I lost all my favourites, not that I really had any seeing as I am more of a shower guy like 90% of the time. But on returning to Lush last year, I found this nifty little one that is just perfect for all that goes on.
It was recommended to me if I had trouble sleeping, which is actually only a new concern for me, but this little ball of bicarb is amazingly soothing and relaxing. Like, it’s a whole new level of relaxation for me outside of doing meditation, which I really need to get back into. It may look like an orange ball of nothing, but trust me, it opens up to even more.
Yes, there it is, just starting to open up and pour out more soothing colours to add to the orange mix. There’s no popping candy here, like there is with Cinders, another favourite, but there is lustre (aka glitter) and this stuff sticks. I went to work the following day like I was a real life Edward Cullen, but I’m not going to complain too much, it’s a given.
But it soon gives way to this amazing purple colour, that mixes everything up to a sort of dark copper colour, and if you’ve been reading this blog for a while now, you’re realise that copper is definitely my thing, like 100% my thing.
Yoga Bomb is designed to be relaxing, and it most definitely is that. I got out of the bath, dried myself off and found myself just laid on my bed for half an hour, not having done anything – it was amazing. I am perhaps pushing my luck admitting out loud that I have favourite of anything from Lush because you can guarantee in 6 months time, they’ll have decided to discontinue it and I’ll be rushing to my local store to buy them out of every single one they have. It is just a given, and that does actually happen by the way.
But either way, for now, this little bomb is my go to relaxation, and if you’re in need for a not too feminine scent, but don’t mind the glitter being stuck to literally every part of your body, go get one, plop it in the bath and unwind.
